Client Profile:

Industry: Global Transport & Logistics

Sector: Publicly traded company (KHNGY)

Program: Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (AB 1825 / SB 1343)

Why did you choose Vantage Point as your training vendor?

Kuehne + Nagel was looking to get out ahead of the mandatory harassment training in California (AB 1825 / SB 1343), and was looking for an effective and reliable method for properly training our staff. The goal was to find something that would excite our employees and get them engaged in a way that traditional CBT’s had failed in the past. After several months of meetings and demos with Vantage Point, we decided that their content combined with their innovative experience was the perfect match for our company.

What did you think about this training compared to previous training you’ve had around Sexual Harassment?

There’s just no real way to punch up what is effectively an interactive PowerPoint presentation. When VR was added to the mix, we suddenly saw a huge boom in excitement that we never thought was possible. Employees literally lined up at the door asking when it would be their turn for training. That blew my mind.

What was most interesting, exciting or impactful to you about this training?

The most impactful thing for me is the fact that our employees are getting real hands-on experience with these topics for the first time. It’s very easy to breeze through training on the computer, but with Vantage Point we’ve got people fully immersed. You literally can’t ignore what’s happening, and that ensures the message gets through.

How does it make you feel about your company to know they’re providing you the very best training on the market around such important topics?

Personally, I see it not only as a commitment to excellence but also a commitment to our employees. It makes me feel like we’re not afraid to say “harassment is an important topic, and we’re willing to bring you the most cutting-edge and effective method of training you on the subject.” We want to make sure that our employees feel safe, make sure everyone is aware of what they could encounter on a day-to-day basis, and how to react to those situations in the most appropriate and responsible way.

Do you feel the deployment was easy? What did we do that made it easy for you?

From my perspective, the deployment was essentially drag and drop. I generated a list of employees in our branches who required training, provided that list along with some contact information over to Vantage Point, and they took care of the rest. They  were on the ball the entire time: working with our local admin staff to secure space, internet access, and time investment from the management. I want to commend them on how easy this was to implement.

How did you feel about how long it took us to deploy and get all of your employees trained?

Honestly, we dragged our feet a bit on this one and I was worried we wouldn’t hit our deadline. By the time we dotted all of our I’s and crossed all our T’s I couldn’t imagine there would be enough time to train all of our staff. Vantage Point was ready to hit the ground running the second our contract was in, and now we’re even coming in ahead of schedule.
